Stratford School Academy, London
An expansive East End high-school hall which is used on a daily basis.
The Problem
The double skinned metal profile wasn't retaining heat and was very noisy during games.
The Solution
Applied by using a scissor lift, a coating of 50mm Closed Cell Rigid Polyurethane Class 1 insulation was specified. This applies directly and seamlessly onto the existing profile.
The Result
Completed within 3 days; 694m2 now has a permanent, seamless thermal barrier. The U values and thermal imaging have been greatly enhanced. The reverberation now is also considerably reduced. A great all round result.
