This project involved helping a homeowner who was struggling with severe noise and odour issues in an ex-council flat. The situation had become so distressing that they were considering moving if a solution couldn’t be found.

The Problem

The client was experiencing constant airborne noise and unpleasant smells travelling up from the flat below, making day-to-day living uncomfortable. On top of that, loose and squeaky floorboards were causing frustration both for them and the downstairs neighbour.

The Solution

After removing the carpets, our team secured and replaced all loose or damaged floorboards. We then installed Tecsound and MLV, laid in an interlocking system as shown in the project images. The full 40m² area was completed in just one day.

The Result

Both the customer and their downstairs neighbour immediately noticed a dramatic reduction in noise transfer. The smells disappeared, the squeaks were gone, and the flat instantly felt more comfortable. A fast, efficient installation that delivered exactly what was needed.
